Article 19 Private detectives
1. Private detectives, at the request of individuals or bodies corporate, are responsible for: - Obtaining and providing information on private action or conduct.
- The investigation of crimes that are prosecutable only at the request of the plaintiff, at the instruction of persons legitimised in criminal proceedings.
- Surveillance at fairs, hotels, exhibitions or similar environments.

Private detectives are: "a means of proof, now commonly used, on occasions, an exclusive instrument for the effective control by the entrepreneur of the tasks required of a worker".
